The Nigeria Christian Pilgrimage Commission (NCPC) removed Reverend Yakubu Pam as Executive Secretary, which has alarmed the Northern Elders Forum (NEF). According to NEF, there are major worries within the Muslim and Christian populations in Northern Ireland over the abrupt and” unjustified nature of the decision.
A statement from the forum s director of advocacy and publicity, Abdul- Azeez Suleiman, included this Information. The committee pointed out that Reverend Pam had been the Commission’s Executive Secretary for the previous three years, and they added that he was removed from the role without following the proper procedures. *NEF is particularly alarmed by the
lack of transparency and accountability in this decision, as Reverend Pam was not allowed to complete his tenure, the statement said.

In order to fulfill Reverend Pam’s statutory four-year term, NEF has called for his reinstatement and urged a review of the decision to dismiss him. The Federal Government should give priority to appointing suitably competent members of the Northern Christian community, NEF added.
