In some parts of Abeokuta, the capital city of Ogun State, anxiety and pandemonium have noticeably spread throughout the region after Olumide Ifeoluwa, a well- liked area boy and suspected cult leader, was killed in a very horrifying way by rivals.
Newsmen learned that the deceased, Ifeoluwa, also known as Tescom, was gunned down and killed on Sunday in the Ijeun Titun neighborhood of Abeokuta by individuals who may have been part of the Eiye cult confraternity.

Quite unfortunately, Ifeoluwa’ s demise was a continuation of the state’ s cult groups’ struggle for supremacy as inhabitants of Ijeun Titun and the surrounding settlements are terrified of retaliatory assaults as a result of the murder.
Locals informed the news reporters that a group of cultists have broken into the neighborhood in an unregistered Toyota Corolla, firing intermittently before advancing on their intended victim. Ifeoluwa’ s head was severely wounded in a graphic photo that went viral on social media and displayed his corpse lying in a bloody puddle.

When contacted for more specifics about the above- mentioned occurrence, a resident, who doesn’ t want his name revealed to the general public recounted that, ” some boys came into the community with a Toyota Corolla and opened fire on the victim while he was breaking his fast with his friends. The incident happened at 8: 30 pm on Sunday.
Speaking on the gruesome incident, police spokeswoman and public relations officer (PPRO) of the state police command, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the killing to members of the press who reached out to her for verification, saying, ” there is going to be a serious fight in Abeokuta and other areas of the state because that man killed was a popular Eiye member and a known political thug. There will be reprisal attacks from his gang members, but we are speaking to the police to step up security in Abeokuta and its environs”.
Odutola went on to say that, ” one Olumide Danish Ifeloluwa’ Tescom’ was shot in the head by unidentified gunmen in an unmarked ash coloured Corolla at Somefun Ijeun Tuntun, on Sundav at 19:55hrs”.
