APC council greets Abiru
All Progressives Congress (APC) Professional Council has hailed Tokunbo Abiru (Lagos East) on becoming chair of Southern Senator’s Forum.
Abiru, who chairs Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and Other Financial Institutions, was elected by 54 senators from 17 the South.
They said Abiru will add value to the forum’s activities in the region.

A message by National Director General of APC Council, Seyi Bamigbade, described Abiru’s role as ‘a good omen for southern senators’.
“It is a call to service for Abiru, an accomplished professional who wields leadership dexterity that will position the southern senators to better pursue their interests and offer representation to their constituencies.
“I hope the lawmaker will justify the confidence of his colleagues by galvanising them for a robust engagement,” Bamigbade said.
