In a statement issued from Abuja on Monday, March 11, signed by its global president, Ambassador Yusuf Adeyinka, and global general secretary, Comrade Johnson Acheme, the group requests international support throughout the protest phase.
They also ask democratic nations such as the United Kingdom and the United States, among others, to bar INEC’s National Chairman and his staff, Senate President Akpabio, and important members of the Nigerian judiciary participating in deciding matters relating to the 2023 elections tribunal.

said: As a body, we have carefully watched the antecedents and actions of the National Chairman vis-a-vis the current happenings and realities in Nigeria and wonder what the hell he is still waiting for to resign from that
position.

The declaration expresses fears that the
Tinubu administration has intentionally
placed Professor Mahmoud to manipulate future elections. The organisation intends to stage peaceful protests in key towns and embassies, seeking the resignation of INEC National Chairman Mahmoud Yakubu and Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
However, the report was issued a year after the election and was mostly settled in court following a problematic process. INEC’s statement claimed that the 2023
general election was free and fair.
