Camera Captures Police Officer Hiding During A Bank Robbery In Kogi [Watch Video]

A gang of armed robbers invaded a town in Kogi State. The miscreants ended up robbing some commercial banks in the State. It was a terrible incident for those who witnessed the attack. However, during the invasion of one of the banks, people nearby were able to capture a police officer, who was meant to repel the robbery attack, hiding himself beside an uncompleted building.

Some notorious armed robbers reportedly attacked two commercial banks in Anyingba, Dekina Local Government Area of Kogi State. The names of the banks were not disclosed and it is unknown whether the daredevil robbers were able to steal money from those banks. The incident happened on Thursday in broad daylight.

The robbers who were fully armed sent civilians and bank staff into panic as they shot sporadically into the air during the attack. Every commercial banks always have security operatives and security units but during this attack, it is unknown whether there was any repellant from any security personnel.

However, in one of the footage released and currently going viral on the internet, a police officer was captured hiding behind a fence wall during the robbery attack. Rather than calling for backups or better still facing the robbers, the officer intentionally ran away and could not confront the miscreants, unknown to him that there were some people somewhere that were video recording him.

In the 13- second video which was attached to this report, the officer was seen with his rifle looking suspicious and standing behind the fence of an uncompleted building. Those who were recording him were heard making jest of the officer. What is certain is that the officer ran for his life, he is the only one that knows the reason why he ran for his life.
