BLOODBATH As Church And Community Clash Together In Brutal Fight; See The Shocking Reason
In a recent clash between Jesus Disciples College and Ndi Okorie Abam community in Abia, one person reportedly died, and over 34 individuals were critically injured, stemming from a land dispute.
The conflict centers around a piece of land allegedly sold to Pastor Emmanuel Ukoha by Eze Ogbuka Abara, the former king of Ndi Okorie Abam community.
However, Eze Ogbuka denies involvement in the sale and has petitioned the community and Pastor Emmanuel before the Amelu Abam Customary Court to clear his name.
The church founder declined to honor the court summons, exacerbating tensions.
According to an anonymous youth from the community, the dispute had been ongoing for nearly a year but escalated when students from Jesus Disciples College encroached on the community’s land, leading to confrontations and injuries.
The community contends that the land is ancestral, and Pastor Emmanuel should prove the legitimacy of the sale.
A source said; ” So, when our youths retreated, they remobilized and entered. the bush again then chased them out, forcing them to return to their school at Ozu Abam.
“Unknown to our people that they have also regrouped and came back to fight us which eventually resulted in many injuries they sustained.
“The land belongs to us. He can’t come from Ozu Abam and cannot be claiming our ancestral land. If anybody sold the land to him, let him come out clear and tell us the person so that everything can
be resolved amicably.”
According to report, a representative of the students claimed that the clash occurred when villagers chased them out of the bush while cutting palm seeds.
Allegedly, the priest had purchased the land from one family in the community, but dissatisfaction among other familles led to the conflict.
Buildings were reportedly attacked, and belongings were taken.
Michael said, “Our people went to the bush to cut palm seed on Tuesday but were chased out of the bush by the village youths.
“I am aware that our priest bought the land from someone from one family in the community but it seems like other families are not happy with the sale of the land and they are making trouble with the boss.
” I don’t know what our boss (Emmanuel) did to them (Ndi Okorie Abam community) to warrant this kind of
attack. They have attacked our buildings in the community and took away some many things from there.”
Despite the unrest, normalcy has been restored, with Hon Uchenna Okoro, the representative of Arochukwu State Constituency, involving the army commander in Ozu Abam junction to
address the matter.
Hon. Okoro confirmed the incident and expressed commitment to resolving the

He assured that every effort would be made to find a permanent solution to the
dispute. The clash underscores the complex dynamics of land disputes and the need for peaceful resolution to prevent further escalation of conflicts within communities.
