Angry Kidnappers Murder Pharmacist In Cold Blood For Doing This After Brother’s Abduction; See What Happened
In Imo State, a businessman nam BE Henry Ejiogu Ogbuji, who is also pharmacist, was assassinated by gunmen who are suspected to be kidnappers. The young man whose age is yet-to-be ascertained was shot and killed on Friday night in the Irete Autonomous Community in the Owerri West Council Area of the state.
According to an eyewitness, the deceased was kidnapped when the suspected kidnappers broke into his residential home on Obinwanne Street in Umuohia Irete, Owerri West local government area LGA after returning from his business trip, Henry, the deceased victim, got wind of a terrible news that his elder brother, Mr. Sunny Ogbuji, a resident of Umueje, Irete, had been abducted by unknown men.
Upon learning of the unfavorable Information, he made the decision to pursue the abductors by running down and double crossing them via the route that leads to the Umungada intersection of the Owerri/Onitsha Expressway.
Henry’s elder brother, Mr. Sunny, was being driven and hauled away by his kidnappers when they reportedly saw that the deceased was getting close to their car which was used in conveying, Mr. Sunny (the initial abducted man). The abductors then turned around and shot Henry in the chest, causing him to pass away instantly. At that same moment, his elder brother, Sunny took advantage of the situation and managed to escape from the clutches of his captors.
Meanwhile, police have examined late Henry’s corpse. Sadly, until his death, he worked as a pharmacist at Owerri Plaza in the capital city, where he dispensed pharmaceuticals.
When contacted, the Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP Henry Okoye, the PPRO of the Imo State Police Command, acknowledged the tragic occurrence and assured that the command is investigating it, adding that with the current investigation which is still underway, he is confident that the offenders would be caught very soon so that they would face the full force of the law.
The police correspondent further revealed that the deceased’s lifeless body has been placed in the Federal Medical Center’ s (FMC) mortuary in Owerri, the capital city of the state while. expressing his sincere condolences to the family of the deceased urging them to take heart while the police take charge of the situation.
