Pastor in Court for taking 5.6k from Church Members as rapture fee
The Ekiti State Police Command took
legal action against Pastor Noah Abraham, accusing him of soliciting N310, 000, approximately 5607. 89 Ghanaian Cedis, from his congregation members under the guise of preparing for the Rapture. Pastor Abraham serves as the founder of the Christ High Commission Ministry located in Araromi- Ugbesi, Omuo Oke Ekiti, within the FX East Local Government Area.
Allegedly, after collecting the specified sum from his followers, the pastor purportedly harbored numerous Individuals within his church premises in anticipation of the Rapture event. Subsequently, Pastor Abraham was summoned by the police for interrogation and later presented before the Chief Magistrates Court in Ado Ekiti, as reported by various sources familiar with the matter.
During the court proceedings, Pastor Abraham refuted the accusations, pleading not guilty to the charges brought against him. In defense of his client, Adunni Olanipekun, Pastor Abraham’s legal representative, urged the court to grant him bail. Surprisingly, Inspector Johnson Okunade, the police prosecutor, did not contest the bail application. Consequently, Magistrate Titiiola Olaolorun granted bail to Pastor Abraham, setting a date for the hearing. scheduled to take place on May 24.

Pastor Abraham asserted that the individuals housed within his church were awaiting the arrival of Jesus. He confidently proclaimed that any miraculous descent or divine manifestation in Nigeria, particularly within Ekiti, would affirm his authority as the designated messenger. According to Pastor Abraham, he would continue to accommodate numerous individuals in his church premises as long as he received directives from the divine source guiding his actions.
