Tragedy struck as a middle-aged woman killed her husband, Mr Nwoga Maduabuchi, by pushing him to death from a two-storey building in Akparata village, Igbeagu community in the Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. The woman who is currently pregnant was said to be the second wife of the deceased husband. The name of the wife was not disclosed in the report released.
A resident who spoke to newsmen on the condition of anonymity revealed how the incident happened and the cause. He explained that the pregnant woman hailed from the Uburu community, in the Ohaozara Local Government Area and is the second wife of the deceased. He further disclosed that the deceased husband is just a victim of domestic violence.
The resident said on the day of the incident, the couple were arguing over a family issue and in the process, the second wife got angry and pushed her husband down from the two-storey building. It was made known that the second wife is known for quarreling with her husband all the time, the latest she did to her husband is an act of wickedness.
At the time of filing this report, the Ebonyi State Police Command is yet to release any official statement or arrest of the woman. In fact, when the State police spokesperson, DSP Ukandu Joshua, was contacted for confirmation, he said he is yet to be informed about the incident and asked for the area where the incident occurred so he could reach out to the DPO of the place..
