Angry Mob Beat Man To Pulp In Public, Set Him On Fire For Doing This Evil Thing To Final Year Student
There has been tension and commotion among the residents of Uyo, the capital city of Akwa Ibom State after sorr angry residents captured a suspe 1XBET cultist who was accused of taking life of a final year Computer Science student of the University of Uyo, UNIUYO known as Okon, beat him mercilessly then set him on fire. It was gathered that the suspect was captured with three other gang members but his accomplices escaped the lynching leaving only the suspect at the mercy of the angry mob.
The group was accused of carrying out a door-to-door robbery on people residing in the university community of Idak Okpo, Itam in the Itu Local Government Area of the state. It was in the process. where the gang members were operating in the community that resulted in the death of a final-year student.
The incident occurred when the deceased, a native of Oron LGA, and his girlfriend were spending the weekend inside his apartment located at 13, Ikpa Lane. The hoodlums suddenly invaded the area thereby catching the residents
unaware.
While speaking with the newsmen, one of the deceased neighbors, Ekere Sifon said, “On the day of the incident, the suspected cultists invaded their compound, went to the apartment of the deceased, and ordered him to open the door but he refused because of his lover that was with him at that time.
“The hoodlums became infuriated, forcefully entered the room, and shot Okon in his stomach. He managed to escape from the scene with the gunshot wounds and later collapsed behind their compound. The criminals grabbed his phone and then fled the scene.
“The hoodlums also invaded the apartment of the deceased landlord, Mr. Ebong Archibong, and some other tenants, robbed them of their valuables. The girlfriend of the deceased was nowhere to be found. The matter was later reported to the police..
“The final-year student shouldn’t have died but the tricyclist who was ordered to take him to the hospital arrived at the scene very late. When he eventually got there, he took the victim to the UNIUYO clinic but was rejected and referred to the Anua General Hospital, Nwaniba, Uyo where he later lost his life after losing so much blood.
