In a disturbing incident that unfolded on Thursday, a 21-year-old man from the Philippines, identified as Lloyd Bagtong, was apprehended on charges of beheading a woman and consuming her brain due to hunger.
The unsettling episode transpired in the Misamis Oriental province of Northern Mindanao, where Bagtong, who was unemployed, was reportedly spotted fleeing from his residence as news of a headless woman circulated within the village. According to the Philippine Daily Inquirer, the victim, who remains unidentified, had her head severed, and both hands were bound.
Captain Maribeth Ramoga, the local police chief, disclosed that Bagtong not only confessed to the gruesome crime but also asserted that he utilized a scythe for the beheading a weapon subsequently discovered concealed at his waist.
