SHOCKING! Nigerian Driver Goes Insane, Strips Self Naked & Sets Traffic Officer On Fire; See His Reason
On Friday, 9th February 2024, a m blowing occurrence is said to hav 1XBET place along Sapele Road in Benin, the capital city of Edo state whereby a commercial bus driver whose identity is yet-to- be ascertained went wild by setting an Edo State Traffic Management Agency officer on fire after which he took to his heels as his whereabouts remains unknown as of the time this story got filed to the general public.
Based on the information gathered by local news reporters on Saturday, 10th February 2024, the bus driver who drove a vehicle with registered plate number, Osun FFE 145 XA was apprehended and taken into custody for going against a traffic law at the Adesua crossroads on Sapele Road.
Although, when an attempt was made to apprehend the reckless driver, according to one of the EDSTMA officials, he turned violent and resisted the officers on ground.
Furthermore, it was discovered that the driver stripped himself completely naked, grabbed a keg of petrol out of his car, poured it on the traffic officer, and set him on fire as soon as the official was told to drive the car to the EDTSMA office.
It was quite unsuccessful to get in touch with Roland Owolabi, the correspondent of EDSTMA.
Meanwhile, in a video that is currently trending on social media with pictures of the vehicle, a man suspected to be an EDSTMA official was heard saying, ” the driver committed a traffic offence, and officers of the Zone 2 enforcement team apprehended him and asked him to gently take the bus to the base but he refused, he resisted arrest and started fighting everyone”.
“At the end of the day, one of the officers was asked to take the bus to the base. The driver brought out petrol, got himself naked, poured the petrol on the officer on the bus and set him ablaze. As we speak, the officer is receiving treatment in a hospital here in Benin City. The bus driver is on the run, he added.
Conclusively, eyewitnesses at the scene of the incident were swept off their feet In surprise to see a fellow Nigerian act in such a disturbing manner as many pointed out that it must surely be as a result of the economic situation of the country that has taken the best part of most civilians forcing them to act irrationally when it comes to decision
making.
