Again NNPCL Drops Petrol Pump Price (See New Price)
The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has slashed the price of petrol from ₦945 to ₦860 per litre, marking a significant reduction in fuel costs across its retail outlets.

reports that findings from various NNPCL filling stations confirmed the price adjustment, with fuel dispensers already reflecting the new rate. However, there has been no official statement from the company regarding the reduction.
Speaking on the development, the National Vice President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Hammed Fashola, affirmed the price change. He noted that while the update had not yet been reflected on NNPCL’s official portal, efforts were underway to make the necessary adjustments.
“It is true that NNPCL is now selling petrol at ₦860 per litre at its filling stations. Although this update is not yet on the portal, I have been informed that they are working on it,” Fashola toldPunch.
Similarly, the National President of the Petroleum Products Retail Outlet Owners Association of Nigeria, Billy Gillis-Harry, also confirmed the reduction, stating, “They reduced the pump price earlier this morning, but I’m yet to get the full details.”
The price cut follows a similar move by Dangote Refinery, which recently reduced the ex-depot price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) from ₦890 to ₦825 per litre. The adjustment, which took effect on February 27, 2025, resulted in a ₦65 reduction per litre.

With the new pricing structure, fuel buyers in Lagos will now purchase petrol at ₦860 per litre at MRS outlets, aligning with the revised rates across NNPCL stations.
