A security expert, Muhammad Abdullahi, has made a shocking revelation about the ongoing banditry crisis in Nigeria. Abdullahi went further to reference a famous quote by former Head of State, General Sani Abacha, who once said, ” If a crisis persists in a place for more than 24 hours, the government has a hand in it. ” He argued that the continuous insecurity in the Northwest suggests that some influential figures are benefiting from the chaos.

The security analyst also lamented the selective application of justice in Nigeria. He pointed out that while ordinary citizens are punished for even minor offenses, corrupt politicians and elites manipulate the legal system to escape justice.

Abdullahi expressed frustration over how ordinary Nigerians continue to suffer from hunger, poverty, and insecurity while politicians and elites enjoy the nation’ s wealth.
