Garin Fakai, long established as an operational hub for Turji, one of Nigeria’ s most wanted criminals, was subsequently targeted. In a decisive move, the troops successfully destroyed the camp. Military sources confirmed that several structures within the base were set alight, causing the bandits to flee. The troops rescued women and children left behind during the escape.
The raid yielded significant results, with the recovery of AK- 47 rifles, RPG bombs, and various ammunitions. Prior to this assault, the military conducted numerous operations targeting bandit strongholds throughout Zamfara State.
