One of the popular politicians and entrepreneurs in Nigeria has been announced dead. The deceased, who used her position to impact lives, died after spending days in the hospital. The House of Representatives member representing Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo North Federal Constituency, Rt Hon. Oriyomi Adewunmi Onanuga, also known as Ijaya. Her death was announced to the public by Sahara Reporters, NASS or the family are yet to release any official regarding her death at the time it was reported. However, after the report, some politicians started expressing their grief about her demise.

The deceased was the Deputy Chief Whip of the House of Representatives before her death. She has been handling the position since 2023. She was a member of the All Progressives Congress (APC). In 2019, she contested an election for the post of the Member of the House of Representatives, under the umbrella of the party and she won. She was also the chairperson House Committee on Women’ s Affairs and Social Development before her death.

She was a brave woman, politician and entrepreneur who reportedly died after a brief illness. She gave up the ghost after spending days in the hospital. The sickness that took her life was not disclosed, probably because her family is yet to say anything regarding her death.
Ijaya, as stated earlier, was a brave woman who was born on the 2nd of December, 1965. She died at the age of 59 years. She was born in Hammersmith, London to Nigerian parents. According to reports, she was one of the women who used her political position to make positive impacts in the lives of many Nigerians.
