Officers from the Edo State Police Command have taken into custody Ella Samuel, a 23- year- old nursing mother. The woman’ s lover, an armed robbery gang leader, gave her stolen money, which led to her imprisonment.
They raped ladies in one of the homes during the armed robbery that sparked violence on the Amagba community and other parts of Benin City. In a separate operation, the group allegedly stole an ATM card, took the owner’ s PIN by force, and took N460, 000 out of his account.
The funds were linked to the suspect’ s bank account. While her lover, the gang leader, escaped, the suspect was captured after the police allegedly followed her to a hotel in Delta State.
According to information obtained throughout the inquiry, the suspect had four children with four separate infamous men who are on the police’ s wanted list. The suspect told reporters that she was taken into custody when her boyfriend transferred money that had been stolen to her account. SP Moses Yamu, the command’ s spokesperson, stated that attempts are underway to apprehend gang members who are escaping.
The lady who is currently helping the police with good information made it very clear that she was not afraid of dating this criminals and they have been using her account to collect series of ransom from their victims. The lady who shed tears after she was caught knew it was totally the end of the road for her. She will remain in the police custody and help in apprehending her criminal boyfriends.
