TRUTH IS OUT! See The Real Reason Why Nyesom Wike Removed Secondus As PDP National Chair
Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, has finally revealed the real reason behind his decision to remove Uche Secondus as the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Speaking at an end- of- year thanksgiving event in Rivers State, Wike did not hold back as he addressed lingering political issues between himself and key figures in the state.
According to Wike, the root of the conflict stemmed from Secondus’ opposition to the candidacy of Siminalayi Fubara as the Rivers State governor in 2023. Wike alleged that Secondus, instead of supporting Fubara, had attempted to push his cousin, Tele Ikuru, as the preferred choice for the governorship position. This move, Wike stated, was at odds with the collective agreement within the party.
Wike explained that his support for Fubara as governor was unwavering and that it became necessary to remove Secondus from his position to ensure that Fubara emerged as the PDP’ s candidate. He criticized Secondus for later aligning himself with Fubara, calling his actions hypocritical. Wike maintained that Secondus’ earlier stance proved who the real enemy of Fubara was, contrary to Secondus’ recent claims.
The minister also took aim at other political figures in Rivers State, including a former governor, Celestine Omehia, who he accused of undermining his achievements. Wike dismissed Omehia’ s criticism as baseless, emphasizing his contributions to Rivers State during his tenure as governor and even now as FCT Minister.
Wike went further to highlight his accomplishments, including educational grants and infrastructure projects he brought to Rivers State as Minister of Education. He expressed pride in his ongoing efforts to assist Rivers citizens through federal appointments facilitated by President Bola Tinubu.
This revelation sheds light on the behind- the- scenes political maneuvering that led to Secondus’ removal as PDP chairman. It underscores Wike’ s strategic approach to ensuring loyalty and alignment within the party, especially in critical electoral decisions. With these insights, the dynamics of Rivers State politics are becoming clearer, leaving observers to wonder what lies ahead in this unfolding political saga.
