A man allegedly killed his wife because he could not control his anger. The incident happened in Ebonyi State. The couple has been married and living together for many years until that day when the husband allowed Satan to use him. The couple had an argument and it escalated, leading to the death of the wife. The man reportedly locked himself and his wife inside their room in order to make sure nobody came to rescue her, what caused the fight between them will be revealed here.
The police in Ebonyi State have arrested a 40- year- old man identified as Joshua Nwafor for the alleged killing of his wife, Charity, at their residence in Nsokkara village, Ezza South Local Government Area of the State. The couple, according to a report, had been living together peacefully for 17 years before the incident happened.
An eyewitness told journalists that the couple had an argument over a tuber of yam that day. The husband returned from and wanted to eat yam. He brought out the yam, probably they have it at home already and wanted to cook it for the family. However, the wife said he wanted to eat a roasted yam, and that was not okay with the husband.
The wife reportedly took the yam and went ahead to roast it. That led to an argument that escalated between the couple. The husband, in the process, dragged his wife inside the room, locked the door, and mercilessly beat her until she died. He was later arrested after the death of his wife.
What transpired between them is a matter that could be settled amicably and it is doubtful if truly the couple has been living together happily and peacefully before. They can easily divide the yam and each of them should do whatever they want with it. When the police confirmed the incident, they condemned the tragic incident, adding that a thorough investigation would be conducted and the suspect would be charged to court.
