The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) clarified the revocation in a public notice, referencing Section 28 of the Land Use Act of 1978. The notice indicated that the titleholders had not adhered to the terms of their land grants, which mandated the settlement of financial obligations within a specified grace period. The FCTA’ s notice stated that the Right of Occupancy for those who failed to pay had been withdrawn, emphasizing the legal grounds for this decision.
In addition, the FCTA issued a two- week ultimatum to 614 other individuals and organizations with outstanding fees, warning them to clear their dues to avoid similar consequences.
