He argued that lamenting the state of leadership without taking tangible steps toward change would be tantamount to endorsing a continuation of the current administration. According to him, the current political landscape risks being characterized by leaders with what he described as a ” satanic genotype, ” a metaphor for unethical governance and self- serving leadership. Such a system, he noted, thrives on impunity, undermines democracy, and erodes public trust in political institutions.
Furthermore, Lukman criticized the APC’ s strategy of capitalizing on opposition divisions to maintain political dominance. He argued that failure to consolidate opposition forces would inevitably lead to another electoral victory for the APC in 2027. He also warned that some leaders in the opposition, including those close to Obasanjo, were inadvertently aiding the APC’ s agenda by refusing to collaborate.
