A pastor in Ogun State is embroiled in a paternity dispute with a commercial driver after a secret affair between the clergyman and the driver’ s wife was exposed by the couple’ s 14- year- old son.
According to the source, a tumultuous scene broke out inside the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Ona Iye Parish, in the Iloye region of Sango- Ota, Ogun State, two weeks ago.
The commercial driver, Badiru Folarin, and his family and acquaintances approached the church’ s pastor and founder, Prophet Abiodun John, over a sensational paternity allegation.
Folarin, whose wife, Morufat, is a church member who came for spiritual treatment, accused the pastor of claiming paternity for his four- year- old child.
The fight occurred after Folarin discovered an alleged affair between the pastor and his wife.
Folarin stated that his 14- year- old son, Saheed, reported the scenario to him. Saheed stated that his mother frequently visited the pastor to cook for him while Folarin was abroad, and that the pastor paid frequent visits to their home at unexpected hours. He also claimed he caught them half- naked.
He stated, ” The preacher claimed that my in- law gave my wife to him as his wife. However, the question remains: can a woman be given to two men as a wife? The pastor approached me with the fact that he is the biological father of our four- year- old child. However, my wife cursed me, claiming that Ogun (the Yoruba god of iron) would strike me dead so she could pleasure her benefactor. ”
Further talking, he said, ” I am a driver. I never enjoyed my wife at home. She was always away to church for several days in the guise of vigils and special spiritual protection.
” My mother- in- law was disturbed about my wife’ s continuous absence from home under the pretext of participation in church activities. I did not realise that the pastor was sleeping with my wife. ”
Despite the crying, screaming, and uproar at the scene, Morufat told her husband’ s family members and passersby that she had no plans to leave him.
However, when asked to pick between the pastor and Folarin, she revealed that the pastor was the child’ s father.
