Edo Politician Calls Married Woman Prostitute In Front Of Her Husband; See His End
A politician has landed himself in serious trouble for attacking a married woman and calling her a prostitute in Edo. The so- called politician allegedly attacked the woman and rained insults on her in front of her husband and other residents of the area of the incident. However, the husband and the family did not take the matter lightly as they decided to deal with the politician. Meanwhile, there were antecedents that led to the reason why the politician insulted the woman.

Paul Okugbowa has been sentenced to six months imprisonment for calling one Mrs Blessing Aigbudu a prostitute in Edo State. The convict is a 39- year- old man and governorship candidate under the Young Progressives Party (YPP) on the September 21st, 2024 election in the State. He was arrested and charged to court after the family of the woman decided to deal with him due to the public embarrassment.
It was gathered that the convicted politician publicly called Mrs Blessing, who is a married woman and a mother of two kids, a prostitute in front of her husband and bystanders. It was loud and was heard by the people in the vicinity. He committed the act on the 8th of September, 2023. He was arrested after the harassment and he has been facing trials since then.
Funny enough, the politician is also the proprietor of Calvary Crown Academy in Benin City. The two kids of the harassed woman attend that school. There was an incident that happened between the woman and three teachers in that school. It was made known that they were negligent and that led to the injuries of one of the woman’ s kids. That probably led to the disagreement between the politician, the teachers, and the school generally.
What transpired is an issue that should be settled amicably. The matter was dragged in court for a year. The politician was recently sent to six months in prison at the Oredo Magisterial District for conducting himself in a manner likely to cause a breach of peace.
