A Nigerian man (name undisclosed) has been arrested in India for allegedly assaulting and brutalizing his wife in broad daylight. The incident happened on Monday in the Chander Vihar area of Delhi. The man caused commotion that day as she dragged his wife to the public and started beating her without mercy.
It was gathered that the man beat his wife under the influence of alcohol. In the process of beating the wife, she fell unconscious on the street. Immediately after the wife fainted, the people in the area chased the man, they were stoning him until they managed to catch him and also gave him a thorough beating. The residents also alerted the police over the incident.
When the police got to the scene, they rescued the Nigerian man from the angry residents and arrested him. Despite that the residents were said to be the ones who contacted the police, they never stopped beating the man even while in the custody of the police. The angry people attacked the police vehicle and continued beating the man. The security operatives managed to leave the scene with the suspect.
However, the reason why the man conducted himself in such a manner is yet to be known but an investigation has commenced on the matter. The situation of the wife was not disclosed in the report release but based on the information gathered, she did not die.
