ANOTHER ARREST? Simon Ekpa’s Replacement Reportedly Lands In Trouble Days After Declaring Biafra Independence; SEE Explosive Details
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has made alarming assertions regarding Dr. Ngozi Orabueze, the Biafra Chief of Staff who recently proclaimed the establishment of the United States of Biafra. According to IPOB, Dr. Orabueze is currently prohibited from leaving Finland due to her travel documents being confiscated by local authorities. This situation reportedly stems from ongoing investigations tying her to terrorism charges linked to Simon Ekpa, the self- proclaimed Prime Minister of Biafra, who is presently incarcerated.
In a post shared on the platform X, IPOB stated, ” She can’ t leave Finland for now; her travel documents were allegedly confiscated by Finnish authorities until investigations are concluded. She is being linked to Simon Ekpa’ s terrorism charges. ” The group emphasized the seriousness of the allegations against Ekpa, recalling his own admissions regarding his involvement in violent activities. ” Recall that Simon Ekpa has never denied the violent activities he was accused of. In fact, on several occasions, he has publicly claimed responsibility for terror- related activities. ”
In a subsequent statement, IPOB sought to clarify its position with respect to Ekpa, asserting that he has never been affiliated with the organization or its leadership under Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. The group condemned any efforts to associate Ekpa’ s conduct with IPOB’ s disciplined campaign for Biafran independence, insisting that such comparisons are misleading and detrimental. ” It is necessary to state unequivocally that Simon Ekpa is not, and has never been, a part of IPOB or the disciplined leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in the noble quest for Biafra’ s restoration. Any attempt to conflate Ekpa’ s lawless antics with IPOB or the legitimate aspirations of the Biafran people is a grave error that must be corrected, ” they declared.
Since its formation, IPOB has advocated for the restoration of Biafra through peaceful and lawful means, emphasizing education, advocacy, and international diplomacy as key components of their strategy. The organization has consistently maintained that violence and lawlessness are incompatible with its mission. ” Mazi Nnamdi Kanu made it abundantly clear that violence and lawlessness have no place in the Biafran struggle. IPOB has consistently emphasized peaceful demonstrations, open dialogue, and the use of legitimate legal avenues to press for self- determination, ” the group reiterated.
IPOB expressed its concern that the alleged actions of Simon Ekpa pose a threat to the credibility of their cause and the safety of ordinary Biafrans. ” Ekpa’ s public acceptance of responsibility for acts of terror is the antithesis of everything IPOB stands for.
His actions have given detractors an excuse to label the legitimate aspirations of Biafrans as terrorism, ” the statement lamented.
The group urged its supporters and the international community to differentiate between IPOB’ s disciplined pursuit of self- determination and the actions of individuals like Simon Ekpa. ” To protect the integrity of the Biafran struggle, it must be clearly understood that Simon Ekpa does not represent IPOB. He is not part of IPOB’ s leadership and does not speak for the movement or the Biafran people, ” the statement asserted.
IPOB called for unity among Biafrans and stressed that the quest for freedom remains steadfast, transcending individual actions. ” The quest for freedom will continue, unsullied and resolute, ” IPOB concluded.
