SHOCK As Popular Nollywood Actress Joins United States Army; See Who She Is
Nollywood actress, Princess Chineke has joined the United States Army.
The ex-beauty queen disclosed this on Instagram sharing photos in her military uniform.
The actress recited the soldiers’ creed vowing to serve and defend the people of the United States of America.
“I’m an American Soldier, I am Member of a team, We are the Army and Proud of Our name, We are the Army and Proudly Proclaim.” she captioned
The film star previously disclosed that she relocated to the USA for education purposes.
“I’m getting on pretty well over here. Life has been good, I haven’t dumped acting and will never do so. I’m just trying out my other skills which are quite lucrative.” the actress said
” I left Nigeria for the United States to further my education and perhaps, acquire more skills. So far, it’s been beautiful, I’m glad I did,”
Princess Chineke is popular for her roles in ‘Ladies Cult’, ‘Tarima’, ‘Papa Ajasco’, ‘Bola’s Place’, ‘Echoes’, ‘Heroes and Zeroes’, ‘Rebound’ and ‘Cut in the Middle’.
In a related report, Emeka Rollas, president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) says they are not able to sue Adanma Luke over her alleged involvement in the death of actor, Junior Pope.
Pope, real name John Paul Odonwodo, passed away on April 10, 2024, after drowning in the Anam River alongside other movie crew members on their way to Adanma’s film production, The Other Side.
He was buried on Friday in Nsukka, Igbo-Etiti LGA in Enugu state.
Adanma, who later submitted herself to the police for questioning, was serially accused of failing to provide life jackets for the travelling crew members.
The guild subsequently suspended Adanma and vowed to hold her liable for the actor’s death.
However, in a recent interview on Arise TV, Rollas explained that the guild did not possess the right to sue Adanma.
He explained that due to the contract the late actor signed with Adanma, his family members held the exclusive rights to sue or otherwise.
Rollas added that Pope’s membership with the guild was also in question, as he had not paid membership dues in over a year.
“You know I was here and I said that we are about to sue. In the course of interacting with our legal adviser, he said that from the contract that Junior Pope signed with the producer, the AGN did not have the locum to sue. He said either the direct family or the wife should sue the producer,” he said.
Rollas said another factor that limited the AGN’s ability to get involved in the issue was Pope’s membership status with the guild. According to him, the actor had not paid his dues for over a year, making him an inactive member.
“We are looking at changing a lot of things. We are going to begin licensing actors as part of this restructuring,” he said.
“This will also address issues like Junior Pope’s case. As of his passing, he had not paid his dues for over a year.”
