A 43- year- old woman identified as Delphister Chella could not stop crying after she found the dead body of her 23- year- old son, Charles Nkole, at a hospital mortuary in Nakonde. The deceased had gone missing for days and his mother had been looking for him before he was found at the mortuary. He was initially found dead at a hotel in the area before police recovered and transferred his body to the mortuary.
According to reports, Chales’ dead body was found in the toilet of a hotel room. One of the workers in the hotel discovered the body and called the attention of the management. They noticed that his hands and legs were tied with a cloth in his mouth, they also discovered that he had a broken neck.
With the situation he was found, it was suspected that he was killed inside the room, his killer probably tied his hands and legs so he wouldn’ t stress them, they also covered his mouth so people wouldn’ t hear his voice as they perpetrated the murder. Meanwhile, Charles did not lodge at the hotel. It was suspected that he came to visit someone in the room when he was killed. It was disclosed that a group of men booked a room and checked out without leaving the keys to the room after locking it.
Charles was a motorcycle rider, his colleagues at the Zesco Market taxi rank explained that he had an issue with some people/men who booked him and refused to pay him, he allegedly seized their phones before they paid him. Those same men came looking for him with the claim that they wanted to give him money. Those men were suspected to have been the ones who invited him to the hotel and killed him.
