Bode George, a prominent member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has sharply criticized Bayo Onanuga, President Bola Tinubu’ s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, over his remarks about former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
George declared that Onanuga would face consequences for what he described as an egregious display of disrespect toward the elder statesman.

He stated: ” An elder, who could very well be Bayo Onanuga’ s father, expressed his view, yet Onanuga responded by attacking him from all sides. Even if he disagrees, Yoruba tradition forbids such disrespect towards elders. ”
George accused Onanuga of a pattern of public antagonism, claiming that he had also targeted him in the past. ” He has no stature to compare himself to us, ” George asserted. ” In Yoruba land, consequences are inevitable for such actions. He should be vigilante as he walks because it’ s possible for him to be charmed. ”
Onanuga’ s criticism of Obasanjo reflects broader tensions between the former president and the Tinubu administration.
