BIG CONGRATULATIONS To Igbos As Gov Ottis Reveals When Nnamdi Kanu Will Regain Freedom, See Heartwarming Details
Dr. Alex Otti, the governor of Abia State, has promised that Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), will soon be allowed to return to his freedom.
During his monthly media chat with journalists and state residents at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Umuahia, Governor Otti stated that he would not publicly disclose any of the actions he has taken to advocate for the IPOB leader’ s release.
Governor Otti disclosed that the presidency and he were still debating Kanu’ s prolonged incarceration. He emphasized that delicate measures are being taken behind the scenes, but he refrained from disclosing specifics. He revealed that he has been in contact with the president on Kanu’ s ongoing incarceration, and he promised that Kanu would soon be released.
Otti claimed that despite the Labour Party’ s (LP) dismal showing in the just ended November 2 LG election throughout all 17 local government districts in the state, he still strongly supports the party. He blamed LP’ s dismal performance at the polls on the party’ s ongoing internal leadership problem, which has plagued it both nationally and in the state.
Otti claimed that although he was aware that his supporters were defecting from the Labour Party to run in a different political party for the local government election, he was powerless to prevent them from pursuing their political goals by joining other parties.
Born in Abia State, the activist has been an outspoken supporter of Biafra’ s independence and secession from Nigeria. Since his re- arrest, he has stayed behind bars in 2021.
” Political parties are simply platforms through which people achieve their political aspirations. I am still a member of the Labour Party. I authorised my followers to join any party of their choice.
” The crisis in Labour Party made the people to abandon Labour Party in the last election in the state because people have discerning minds. ”
On the pension fraud that rocked the state, the governor disclosed that 10 persons involved would soon be arraigned in court.
