AHHH! Shock As Pastor Pretends To Be Robbed After Scamming Church Members; SEE What Later Happened
Pastors are expected to tread the straight and narrow but that is not the case for Apostolic Faith Mission in Zimbabwe Praise and Worship Centre Assembly pastor Lebraity Makuni who faked an armed robbery to conceal his own transgression.
Lebraity Makuni, a pastor from Praise and Worship Centre Assembly in Zimbabwe, has been arrested.
He was arrested for allegedly staging an armed robbery to cover up his own misdeeds.
Makuni, 28, told police that he had been robbed of $7, 500 and other valuables at his residence in Chitungwiza.
However, investigations discovered that the pastor manufactured the incident to conceal a failed financial scam.
According to police, Pastor Makuni got $3, 000 and a Techno cellphone from a congregant in exchange for offering to supply maize for their poultry business.
When he failed to deliver, he allegedly fabricated the robbery to evade responsibility. Inspector Luckmore Chakanza, the Harare provincial police spokeswoman, verified Makuni’ s detention for supplying false information to the police.
Makuni was released on $100 bail with the condition that he report to Chitungwiza CID weekly. He’ s set to appear in court again next week.
A lot of people have reacted to this, someone said; ” May God help us in this world we are, especially in Africa. Why will you call yourself a pastor, meanwhile you’ re just pretending to be God’ s chosen so as to collect money from your church members. May God judge you all” .
Another person wrote; ” Religion today is fake, that’ s why you won’ t see me in church, I’ ll rather pray to God at home. All what these pastors do is to spend offering and tithe on themselves an call themselves billionaires! They will definitely suffer” .
