The Ogun State Police Command has provided a detailed account of the events surrounding the crime. According to the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, Majekodunmi is believed to have played a pivotal role in the crime, which involved four teenagers who are now in custody. Eyewitnesses reported a disturbing scene on Saturday when several boys were seen burning the victim’ s skull, leading to widespread panic in the Oke Aregba community.

Rofiat, a resident of Idi- Ape in Abeokuta, was reportedly held captive in Majekodunmi’ s room, where he allegedly instructed one of his friends to carry out the fatal act. The police revealed that the group murdered Rofiat, decapitated her, and disposed of her body in a sack while attempting to burn her head in a pot. The suspects reportedly claimed that they intended to use the gruesome remains for money rituals.
