If You Have Account With This Bank, Withdraw Your Money Immediately As They Are About To Shut Down
Simon Ekpa, a self- proclaimed Prime Minister of the Biafra Republic Government in Exile, has responded to a significant notice from Perfect Money, a U. S. – based financial service provider. Perfect Money, which offers digital banking services worldwide, announced it will stop serving Nigerian customers from December 1, 2024.
The notice from Perfect Money alerted its Nigerian users, instructing them to withdraw any funds from their accounts before the deadline. This move will affect all accounts registered with Nigerian addresses, effectively ending Perfect Money’ s operations in Nigeria by December.
In the notice sent to Nigerian customers, Perfect Money stated, ” We regret to inform you that Perfect Money is currently unable to serve customers based in Nigeria. As a result, all accounts registered to addresses in Nigeria will be closed on December 01, 2024. ”
The message further detailed the timeline and next steps for account holders. Starting from November 1, 2024, accounts registered in Nigeria will no longer be able to perform transactions, including deposits or usage of any funds within the system. Nigerian customers have been strongly advised to withdraw any remaining balance by that date.
The message clarified: ” After November 01, 2024, you will still be able to withdraw your money, but please note that you will have 30 days to complete any withdrawals before your account is officially closed. Be sure to act promptly to avoid any inconvenience. ”
Reacting to the announcement, Simon Ekpa suggested this decision might be linked to anticipated political changes in the region. In a statement on social media, Ekpa said, ” Ahead of Biafra Declaration, some financial institutions rendering services to addresses registered in Nigeria are closing up. Those of you using Perfect Money, I believe you have received the warning message. Perfect Money is based in the United States. They have given all Nigeria until 1st December to withdraw all their money. ”
This reaction has fueled discussions online, with many speculating about the broader implications of Perfect Money’ s decision. Some commentators believe that recent political tensions and regulatory changes in Nigeria may have influenced the company’ s decision to withdraw services from the Nigerian market. However, Perfect Money has not publicly provided specific reasons for its exit from Nigeria.
