BRING Back OSINBAJO? Tinubu Told To Include Former Vice President In His Cabinet
President Bola Tinubu has been told to bring back former Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, back to his government like he did when he was the Lagos State Governor.
According to the report, the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors Forum and Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed, told the President to gathered best brain as part of his cabinet.
He urged President Bola Tinubu to replicate the success of his administration in Lagos State by appointing a knowledgeable team.
Mohammed praised Tinubu’ s leadership in Lagos, where he assembled a highly skilled team that included figures such as the former Vice President and former Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Kayode Fayemi.
According to Mohammed, Tinubu’ s past governance demonstrated his ability to foster effective teamwork, a trait he says is now missing at the national level.
” I had high hopes that when he becomes president, he will bring the same magic he brought to Lagos, ” Mohammed stated. ” But I was mistaken. ”
The Bauchi State Governor expressed his concerns about Tinubu’ s administration, arguing that the president’ s current policies have not met expectations, particularly regarding economic issues affecting everyday Nigerians.
He also noted that Tinubu’ s governance approach has become too reliant on loyalists, whom he claimed offer ” blind praise” without providing critical advice.
” When I said his policies aren’ t working, I was speaking as an opposition member. We can’ t be expected to support him blindly as his party members do, ” Mohammed emphasized.
Mohammed argued that Tinubu’ s current team lacks the depth of expertise and strategic insight that characterized his Lagos administration.
