A man identified as Sunday Emmanuel was arrested for killing his 35- year- old wife, Linda Emmanuel at their residence in Ogbeni Camp Ofosu, Idanre Local Government Area of Ondo State. The suspect who is a labourer engaged in an argument with his wife on the 7th of October, 2024, around 5: 30 pm. The argument escalated to the extent that the suspect macheted his wife to death.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect/Sunday engaged in an argument with his wife on what to do with their annual wages. The police arrested Sunday after perpetrating the act and the operatives did not take the case lightly as he was charged to court on two counts charges of murder and attempted murder. On Tuesday, he (Sunday) appeared before the Chief Magistrate’ s Court sitting in Akure, the State capital, and he was ordered to be remanded at the Segede correctional facility over the killing of his wife.
