See The Female Preacher Who Was Stabbed To Death For Preaching The Gospel
Mrs. Eunice Elisha, a pastor with the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) and mother of seven, was brutally murdered while preaching early Saturday morning in the Gbazango- West area of Kubwa, Abuja. The 42- year- old woman was stabbed in the stomach and neck. Her body, alongside her Bible, megaphone, and phone, was discovered by local residents.
Eunice’ s husband, Mr. Olawale Elisha, who is also a pastor, revealed that his wife regularly went out for early morning evangelism, which she referred to as ” Morning Cry. ” On the day of her death, she left around 5 a. m. for her usual preaching. Shortly after, her children informed him that they heard reports of a woman being killed while preaching. He rushed to the scene, only to find his wife’ s body had already been taken to the police station. Upon arriving at the station, Olawale identified the lifeless body of his wife.
Olawale described Eunice as a deeply committed Christian who was passionate about spreading the gospel. The couple had been married since 2000, and he shared that she was always generous and dedicated to the work of God. Despite the tragedy, Olawale expressed a willingness to forgive those responsible if they converted to Christianity.
The police confirmed the arrest of several suspects and have launched an investigation into the killing. Manzah Anjuguri, the spokesperson for the Federal Capital Territory Police Command, stated that the arrested individuals were assisting in the investigation. He also confirmed that officers had visited the crime scene.
Friends and neighbors described Eunice as a devoted preacher who regularly evangelized in the neighborhood. Lawyer David Ude- Chukwu, a close family friend, condemned the murder as a religiously motivated hate crime. He criticized the lack of security, pointing out that the Nigerian constitution guarantees the right to practice one’ s faith. Neighbor Pastor Adebayo Tiamiyu echoed this sentiment, emphasizing Eunice’ s passion for preaching and the fact that no valuables were taken, suggesting the killing was not a robbery.
