SHOCKING! Ritualist Caught With Severed Head Of A Child Hidden In Sack
The Ogun State Police Command has arrested a suspected ritualist, Lukman Kushimo, also known as ” Werepe, ” for being found with the severed head of a child, hidden in a sack. This shocking discovery highlights the growing concerns about criminal activities in the region, as the command also paraded 68 other suspects arrested in various parts of the state.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi, who addressed journalists during a parade at the police headquarters in Eleweran, Abeokuta, the arrests were made following intensive investigations into different crimes across the state. The arrested suspects included 52 individuals involved in cult activities, 12 kidnappers, 2 armed robbers, a ritualist, murder suspects, and a fraudster. Oyeyemi emphasized the commitment of the police command to eradicating crime in Ogun State.
Providing further details on the arrest of Lukman Kushimo, Oyeyemi explained that the suspect was apprehended on April 26, 2022, at about 6: 30 a. m. by officers of the So- Safe Corps, who were on routine patrol in the Lantoro area of Abeokuta. Kushimo was seen coming out of Oke- Yidi Cemetery with a suspicious- looking sack. The officers stopped him for questioning, and upon searching the sack, they discovered the severed head of a young child. Preliminary investigations revealed that the child’ s body had been buried in the cemetery, but Kushimo had returned to retrieve the head for ritual purposes.
Kushimo later confessed to the crime, explaining that the child’ s parents, who were based in Ibadan, had brought their daughter to him for burial. The girl had died of kidney disease at the Federal Medical Center (FMC), and the family paid him N29, 000 to help with the burial arrangements. However, after the burial, Kushimo’ s accomplice contacted him, requesting a human head, which they referred to as ” biscuit. ” Hoping to make an additional N50, 000, Kushimo returned to the cemetery to sever the child’ s head.
Another suspect, Alamu Apesin, a well digger, was also paraded for murder. Apesin had stabbed a man named Joshua Alao in the chest during a fight over a romantic relationship. According to the police, the altercation between Apesin and Alao arose when Apesin discovered that Alao was dating his girlfriend. In a fit of rage, Apesin attacked Alao, leading to his tragic death.
The Ogun State Police Command commended the residents of the state for their cooperation and timely information, which has helped in apprehending these criminals. DSP Oyeyemi assured the public that the police remain dedicated to their duty of combating crime and ensuring the safety of all citizens.
