2025 Hajj: intending pilgrims to pay N8.4m deposit
The Director-General, Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Lamin Danbappa, on Monday, confirmed N8.4m as a deposit for 2025 Hajj intending pilgrims from the state.
Danbappa made the confirmation during a meeting with local government hajj officers held in his office in Kano.
“As directed by NAHCON, the deposit for the 2025 Hajj has been fixed ₦8.4m only,” Danbappa said.
The DG stated that the board would commence the collection of deposits through bank drafts submitted to Local Government Hajj Centre Officers.
According to him, the collection which would begin immediately would continue until the closing date to be announced alongside the final Hajj fare.
He urged all intending pilgrims to ensure timely payments under the schedule provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the 2025 Hajj
“Intending pilgrims are required to submit eight passport-sized photographs, a valid international passport, and have a personal bank account for proper identification,” the DG added.
He said NAHCON had allocated 4,356 Hajj seats to Kano, which will be distributed across all the 44 local governments in the state.
In his remarks, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Alhaji Yusif Lawan, prayed to Almighty Allah to grant all intending pilgrims the means and opportunity to make their Hajj payments without hitches.
Also, Lawan called on Local Governments Hajj Centre Officers to work diligently in the daytime and night to ensure that the allocated seats for their respective areas are secured and properly managed.
