The post featured an image of a flickering candle surrounded by flowers, symbolizing the heartbreaking end of a cherished life.
Zeenat Balogun, who was one of Saidi’ s four children, passed away suddenly, sending shockwaves through the Nollywood community. The actor was reportedly in the midst of a stage performance at Terra Kulture, a popular arts and cultural center in Lagos, on the day of the tragedy. It was during this performance on Friday that he received the crushing news of his daughter’ s passing.
Saidi Balogun’ s ex- wife, Faithia Williams, who was once Zeenat’ s stepmother, also took to Instagram to publicly share her grief. Faithia, a renowned actress in the Nigerian movie industry, posted a message that reflected her deep sorrow and solidarity with her ex- husband during this difficult time. In her post, she wrote, ” Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’ un, ” a phrase in Arabic meaning, ” From Allah we come, to Him we shall return, ” conveying her heartfelt condolences and faith in the face of this great loss.
