SHOCK! ! ‘I’m Bigger Than Peter Obi Politically, I’m His Elder Brother, I’m A PhD Holder’- Kwankwaso Boasts
The New Nigeria People’ s Party (NNPP) presidential candidate for 2023, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has alluded to the prospect of running against Peter Obi of the Labour Party (LP) in the subsequent presidential election, according to a report published in the Daily Post on Saturday.
The former governor of Kano State stated in a video clip that is presently trending on X that he would be open to collaborate with Obi ” if certain conditions are met. ” Speaking in Hausa, Kwankwaso asserted that he is ” bigger” than Obi politically and highlighted his political background.
In order to reach a consensus prior to the 2027 elections, he stated that he is open to having serious conversations with the leader of the Labour Party.
He said, ” I’ m bigger than Peter Obi politically, I’ m his elder brother, I’ m a PhD holder, I performed better than him when I was a governor of my state.
Former Kano State governor Kwankwaso emphasized his accomplishments and experience in leadership, implying that these could be advantageous to a possible collaboration.
He added, ” We are willing to engage in discussions, provided that trust is established. ” ” I’ ve no problem with deputizing Peter Obi, but only if certain conditions are met. ”
Given that Kwankwaso and Obi both performed well in the 2023 election, a potential partnership between them might have a big impact on Nigerian politics. The majority of votes were cast for Peter Obi, the former governor of Anambra State, in 11 states as well as the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
In the election, he received roughly 6, 101, 533 votes, placing him third. However, Kwankwaso received 1, 496, 687 votes overall and won the election in 38 of Kano State’ s 44 local government districts.
Remember, Kwankwaso only won one state in the previous presidential election held in 2023 while Petee Obi won all Southeast state and Lagos.
