Tinubu VOWS To Kill This Set Of People, Gives Them Last Chance To Surrender
President Bola Tinubu has issued a firm warning to terrorists, bandits, and other criminal elements disrupting the peace in Nigeria, urging them to lay down their arms or face severe military action. The president, expressing his administration’ s strong resolve to eliminate these threats, emphasized that both kinetic (military) and non- kinetic (non- military) strategies have been deployed to tackle the issue. According to Tinubu, his government has had enough of the atrocities committed by these non- state actors, and their continued presence will not be tolerated any longer
Speaking during the inaugural international lecture organized by the News Agency of Nigeria in Abuja, the president, represented by the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, declared that the days of terrorists, bandits, and kidnappers in the country were numbered.
He warned that those involved in such criminal activities either surrender and embrace peace or face the full might of the nation’ s security forces. In no uncertain terms, Tinubu stated that the country will no longer be a haven for those who perpetuate violence and lawlessness.
In his speech, Tinubu was resolute, describing these criminals as ” cowards, idiots, bandits, kidnapping for ransom, and violent extremists” who have plunged the country into chaos for the past 15 years. He remarked that these elements have not only disrupted normal life but have also negatively impacted critical sectors such as commerce, education, healthcare, and transportation. Tinubu stressed that this reign of terror must come to an end and that the government is fully prepared to put a stop to it.
The president further clarified that, while forceful measures are in place, there are still opportunities for those willing to surrender peacefully. He reiterated that the government’ s non- kinetic approach remains viable, offering an olive branch to criminals ready to turn their backs on violence. However, he made it clear that failure to take this opportunity will result in severe consequences. Tinubu also vowed that the pervasive issue of kidnapping for ransom, which has traumatized many Nigerians, will soon be eradicated.
The president’ s message is a clear signal that his administration is determined to restore peace and security to Nigeria, and those involved in criminal activities must either change course or face the inevitable consequences of their actions.
