AHHH! Shock As Pastor Dies While Praying, Fasting For Nigeria On Mountain; SEE Where It Happened
An Abuja pastor named John Ogbonna, who had gone to pray and fast against the hardships in Nigeria, was discovered dead on top of a mountain along Arab Road in Abuja.
The video of the deceased body, which has gone popular on social media since last Saturday, shows the pastor climbing the rugged mountain to pray for the country’ s recovery from the current economic downturn.
His lifeless body was discovered last Thursday on top of the mountain.
City & Crime learned that the deceased was from the Ohazara community in Ebonyi State and lived in Mpape, an Abuja neighborhood in the FCT.
It was discovered that a man, Mr Obinna Okorie, who identified the deceased, called his relatives, who rushed to the mountain to carry down his body.
Mr Obinna Okorie verified to the media that the dead was his neighbour at Mpape village and had been a dedicated Christian, preached about and always practice fasting.
He stated, ” Yes, I also saw the video and his relations were alerted, who mobilised to the mountain along Arab road and conveyed it to the mortuary. ”
It was not possible to get in touch with Josephine Adeh, the spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, on the incident.
A lot of people have reacted to this incidence, someone said; ” He should have used that energy used to climb the mountain to hussle for his livelihood” .
Another person wrote; ” Maybe Nigeria matter don pass prayers and fasting, maybe it’ s the populace that needs mass deliverance, as God already provided all Nigeria needs to be amongst the greatest, just that the people have decided to go the ways of the devil. May his soul rest in perfect peace” .
