As the country celebrates its 64th year of independence, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, has emphasized the need to preserve national unity and indivisibility of the Nation.
The Cleric spoke yesterday in Lagos during a press conference headlined, ” Special Independence Day Prayer and Celebration Service, ” heralding the Independence Day Service on October 6, 2024.
Pastor Oladele Balogun, Special Assistant to the General Overseer on Administration, represented the cleric; October 6, 2024 is the planned date of the service.
Adeboye stated, ” As we prepare to celebrate our independence, we must renew our commitment to national unity and togetherness.
” We must deliberately acknowledge that our diversity is our strength, and our peculiarities are what distinguishes us. We must thus continue to work together to create a better future for everybody.

” No matter how brilliant a rehabilitation strategy is, whether locally devised or globally dictated, only God, the Almighty, can bring about a revolutionary turnaround.
” The state of the nation as well as prevailing global economy is quite challenging but with God all things are possible, hence, our confidence that through divine wisdom, God is able to turn around the seemingly hopeless situation into a glorious phenomenon” , he concluded.
Recall that there has been a plan by some Nigerians to stage a protest on October 1st to fight against hunger and hardship in the country, but now that Pastor Adeboye has called for peace and unity, and also advised everyone to put Nigeria in their prayers, do you agree with him? or do you think the protest is essential?
