Christian Worshippers Including Pastor Slaughtered As Heartless Bandits Spill Blood In Churches, Kidnap Numerous Members
Tragedy struck in Bakinpah- Maro, a vulnerable community in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State, as at least three innocent Christian worshippers lost their lives in a brutal and unprovoked assault by ruthless gunmen.
A devastating assault on two places of worship in Bakinpah- Maro, Kaduna State, resulted in the abduction of approximately 31 individuals, including a clergy member, as the armed men targeted the ECWA and Catholic churches.
Terrifyingly, the devastating and unprecedented attack shook the tranquil community of Bakinpah- Maro in Kaduna State on Sunday morning, as gunmen stormed the ECWA and Catholic churches during worship services, leaving a trail of death and destruction.
Eyewitnesses recounted the chaos and terror that erupted as the assailants, armed to the teeth, burst into the sacred spaces, disrupting the peaceful gatherings and firing indiscriminately.
The tragic incident resulted in the loss of multiple lives, with at least three Christian worshippers confirmed dead. Additionally, approximately 31 people, including a pastor, were taken hostage by the attackers.
The motive behind the attack remains unclear, but authorities have launched a thorough investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident and ensure the safe release of the abducted victims.
Notwithstanding, the community remains in shock, with many residents still reeling from the traumatic events. Religious leaders have condemned the attack, calling for unity and calm amidst the chaos.

Meanwhile, reporters gathered that a past chairman of Kajuru Local Government Area, Cafra Caino, verified the regrettable event.
Cafra Caino, the former chairman of Kajuru Local Government Area, revealed that the bandits, who stormed the community around 10 am, launched a coordinated and brazen attack, firing indiscriminately and specifically targeting the ECWA and Catholic churches.
The LGA chairman further revealed that among those taken hostage by the bandits was Pastor Bernard Gajera, a respected spiritual leader of one of the attacked churches.
Reporters tried to get in touch with ASP Munir Hassan, the Kaduna State Police Public Relations Officer, but unfortunately, their efforts were unsuccessful.
