Ondo lawmaker empowers constituents
The lawmaker representing Akoko South East/South West Federal Constituency, Adegboyega Adefarati, has provided empowerment materials running into millions of naira for his constituents.
He doled out N100,000 each to 500 persons, distributed sewing machines and hairdryers to artisans and 100,000 exercise books to pupils in public primary schools.
Adefarati also distributed 1000 50kg bags of fertilisers to farmers to boost food production.
Adefarati, the chairman of the House Committee on Labour, Employment, and Productivity, said he aimed to enhance education, water supply and economic support for his constituents.
He said the efforts reflected All Progressives Congress’ (APC’s) commitment to the welfare of the people and urged Akoko community to support Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa in the November 16 election.

Aiyedatiwa said empowering the people should be a collective effort to uplift communities and build a brighter future for children.
He praised Adefarati for his dedication to addressing the needs of his constituency, saying the grants would stimulate local entrepreneurship, create jobs and improve livelihoods.
He said: “Let me commend our legislator for this thoughtful initiative, which demonstrates a deep understanding of the needs of our community. It is a testament to the power of public service and the positive impact dedicated leaders can have on the lives of their constituents.
