See What Happened To 30 Christian Girls In Yobe State That Shocked The Whole Community- Video
The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in Yobe State has raised concerns about the alleged abduction of 30 Christian teenage girls by an Islamic jihadist group linked to the Islamic Religious Affairs Ministry in Damaturu. Musa Mathias, a family member of the late Bayaro Mathias, claims that two of his daughters, found in the Emir’ s palace, have yet to be released despite petitions to the Inspector General of Police.
Rev. Ibrahim Kure Abagu, CAN Secretary, confirmed 30 cases of abducted Christian girls being investigated by the police.
He highlighted the case of Rejoice Markus, allegedly abducted by a group under the ” Ministry of Islamic Religious Affairs. ” Rejoice was rescued from the Emir’ s palace and taken to an Anglican Church for deliverance, where she expelled substances believed to be Islamic ” satanic concoctions. ”
Rev. Kallamu Musa Ali Dikwa alleged that some victims’ placentas were used in rituals. Bishop Audu Yohanna corroborated these claims, stating he witnessed Rejoice Markus vomiting during prayers. Rev. Ali Dikwa accused the Muslim community in Northern Nigeria of promoting Islam through jihad, including abduction and forced conversion of underage Christian girls.
The statement ” Injustice and Impunity” called on President Bola Tinubu to intervene and stop the abductions, warning that if the girls are not released within 48 hours, Christian youths may take action. Rev. Abagu highlighted challenges in rescuing the girls, citing the case of Faith Timothy, forced to remain in the Emir’ s palace after expressing a desire to convert to Islam.
The CAN Secretary expressed frustration with the lack of assistance from authorities, noting that despite formal complaints, little has been done to address the situation. The situation remains tense, with concerns growing over the safety and well- being of the abducted girls. The Christian community in Yobe State continues to call for immediate action to secure their release and protect other potential victims.
