SHOCKING ! Passenger Collapses And Dies In Bus During Trip, See Details
Panic ensued in Ogun State as a 29- year- old passenger, identified as Anuoluwapo Aderemi, reportedly collapsed and died in a commercial bus. The tragic incident took place on a bus traveling from Papalanto Motor Park in Ewekoro Local Government Area of Ogun State to Ibadan, Oyo State.
It was gathered that the incident happened at a filling station in Itori around 7: 45 p. m. on Tuesday evening, causing distress among the passengers. The bus, which was en route to Ibadan, had departed from Papalanto with 15 passengers, although it had a capacity for 18.
According to the spokesman for the Ogun Police Command, Odutola Omolola, the bus driver, identified as Akeem Olorode, reported the case to the police. Olorode stated that the passengers first noticed Aderemi’ s strange behavior when they made a brief stop at the filling station to refuel. Concerned about his condition, the other passengers attempted to render first aid, but Aderemi’ s condition deteriorated rapidly. Despite their efforts, he collapsed inside the bus and tragically passed away.
Police detectives from the Ewekoro Division were dispatched to the scene after receiving the report from the driver. Upon arrival, they met the deceased along with the other passengers. Odutola Omolola confirmed that investigations were ongoing to determine the exact cause of death.
She further revealed that Aderemi was a resident of Ibadan, and his body was immediately transported to a state hospital in Ifo. Unfortunately, upon arrival at the hospital, the doctor on duty confirmed that he had already passed away.
