HORROR! Blood Flows, Dead Bodies Litter Everywhere As Soldiers Slaughter 1, 166 Terrorists In Devastating Attacks
In a significant crackdown on terrorism, the Defence Headquarters (DHQ) of Nigeria has reported the elimination of 1, 166 terrorists and the arrest of 1, 096 suspects across the country within just 29 days.
This information was shared by the Director of Defence Media Operations, Edward Buba, during a press briefing in Abuja on Thursday. Mr. Buba highlighted the successes of the armed forces in their ongoing operations against terrorist groups.
Among the key achievements, the troops rescued 721 kidnapped hostages and seized a substantial cache of weapons and ammunition. A total of 391 weapons were recovered, including 208 AK- 47 rifles, 54 locally fabricated guns, 53 dane guns, 36 pump- action guns, and over 15, 000 rounds of ammunition.
The military operations led to the deaths of several high- profile terrorist leaders and commanders. In the North- East, figures such as Munir Arika, Sani Dilla (aka Dan Hausawan Jibilarram), Ameer Modu, and others were eliminated. Meanwhile, in the North- West, notorious leaders like Kachalla Dan Ali Garin Fadama and Kachalla Dan Mani Na Inna were also killed.
Mr. Buba emphasized that the ongoing military operations have significantly weakened the capabilities of terrorist groups, reducing their ability to launch major offensives.
” The situation experienced mostly these days are low- level skirmishes and attacks on soft targets, ” he stated, noting the military’ s readiness to continue applying the necessary force to dismantle these groups.
In the North- East, troops under Operation Hadin Kai killed 292 terrorists, apprehended 254 suspects, and rescued 213 hostages within the month. Additionally, 2, 742 Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists, along with their families, surrendered to the military, further diminishing the strength of these groups.
In the North- Central region, Operation Safe Haven saw the elimination of 50 violent extremists, the arrest of 290 suspects, and the rescue of 121 hostages. Troops also recovered a significant cache of arms during these operations.
In the North- West, Operation Hadarin Daji led to the deaths of 153 terrorists, the apprehension of 97 suspects, and the rescue of 186 hostages. Similarly, Operation Whirl Punch resulted in the elimination of 63 terrorists, the arrest of 291 suspects, and the rescue of 62 hostages.
The military also made significant strides in the South- South region, particularly in combating crude oil theft. Under Operation Delta Safe, troops helped increase Nigeria’ s daily crude oil production to over 1. 5 million barrels per day in August. They arrested 71 individuals involved in oil theft and impounded millions of liters of crude oil and other petroleum products.
In the South- East, the military’ s Operation UDO KA targeted the IPOB/ESN terror group, resulting in the deaths of 34 terrorists, the arrest of 82 suspects, and the rescue of 26 hostages.
Mr. Buba concluded by reiterating the military’ s commitment to dismantling terrorist networks across the country, emphasizing the need for continued collaboration with local communities and stakeholders to ensure lasting peace and security.
