PURE EVIL! Man Violently Kills Lover, Butchers Body To Pieces; What He Did Next Is Terrifying
The Eastern Cape High Court in Mthatha, South Africa, has handed down a life sentence to 35- year- old Bantubenkosi Siqotyana for the brutal murder of his girlfriend. The sentencing took place on Wednesday, August 28, 2024.
Bantubenkosi Siqotyana was convicted of murdering his girlfriend in a very horrifying manner, Nombeko Thobigunya, in December 2023, and subsequently received a life imprisonment sentence from the Eastern Cape High Court in Mthatha.
During the trial, the court was presented with disturbing evidence that Bantubenkosi Siqotyana had dismembered his girlfriend Nombeko Thobigunya’ s body and disposed of the remains in multiple pit toilets in an attempt to cover up the heinous crime.
According to Luxolo Tyali, spokesperson for the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), Nombeko Thobigunya’ s family reported her missing on December 13, 2023, which led to an investigation that ultimately uncovered the gruesome details of her murder at the hands of her boyfriend, Bantubenkosi Siqotyana.
” She had last been seen in the company of Siqotyana 12 days earlier. A human hand was discovered being eaten by a dog in the village of Thembeni in Zandukwana area of the District of Libode” .
” Police were summoned and the accused made admissions and pointed out the remains at multiple pit toilets in the location” , he revealed.
Apparently, at the beginning of the trial, Bantubenkosi Siqotyana entered a plea of not guilty to the charges of murder and defeating the ends of justice, despite the evidence presented against him. He was later found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment.
” But (he) pleaded guilty to the charge of violating a corpse. He claimed that the deceased had died due to food poisoning, but he decided to cut the dead body into pieces because he feared the community would believe that he had killed her” , Tyali affirmed.
Prosecutor Advocate Siphokazi Maarman rejected Siqotyana’ s not guilty plea and presented evidence from witnesses, including an eyewitness who testified to seeing Siqotyana assault the victim earlier that day, and a doctor who identified stab wounds on the victim’ s neck, contradicting Siqotyana’ s claim that the victim died from food poisoning.
