BREAKING: Angry Youths Are Now Stoning Politicians! SEE How Lawmaker Escaped Death In Bauchi
Adamu Hashimu Ranga, the representative for the Ningi/Warji Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, barely escaped a violent attack by angry youths. The incident took place during the burial ceremony of the late Emir of Ningi, Muhammadu Yunusa Danyaya, at the Emir’ s palace in Ningi.
Ranga, who was elected in 2023 under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has faced growing dissatisfaction from the youths in his constituency. The youths accuse him of neglecting his responsibilities since his election and relocating to Abuja, leaving them feeling abandoned.
As Ranga was leaving the Emir’ s palace around 5: 42 pm, the youths, who had gathered nearby, began chanting in Hausa, ” Ba mu yi, ba mu yi, ” meaning ” We don’ t want you. ”
Their anger quickly turned into action as they threw sand and stones at the lawmaker’ s convoy. The situation escalated, with the youths intensifying their assault, causing severe damage to Ranga’ s vehicle, including broken windows, a shattered windscreen, and damaged rear mirrors.
Security operatives at the scene acted swiftly, intervening to safely escort Ranga away from the hostile crowd. Despite their efforts, the lawmaker’ s vehicle was left in a heavily damaged state.
An eyewitness, who spoke to DAILY POST by phone, described the incident as ” unfortunate. ” He explained that he was deeply saddened by the Emir’ s passing and was shocked to witness the violent attack on the lawmaker.
” I came out of the palace deeply saddened by the Emir’ s demise, only to see youths throwing sand and stones at a car. When I moved closer, I realized it was our representative being attacked, ” the eyewitness recounted.
This is not the first time Ranga has faced backlash from his constituents. Earlier, there were efforts by his constituents to recall him from the National Assembly. However, these attempts were halted following the intervention of the late Emir and other influential figures in the community.
The incident highlights the growing tension between Ranga and the people he represents, reflecting the frustration and discontent that have been simmering since his election.
