Bobrisky, the Nigerian crossdresser, has described his encounter with male prisoners during his stint at the Kirikiri prison.
The crossdresser was recently released after spending four months behind bars.
In April, Bobrisky, real name, Idris Okuneye, was sentenced to six months imprisonment after pleading guilty to naira abuse.
Many Nigerians viewed his sentencing as harsh, with some opining that his crossdressing antics played a role in the judge’ s verdict.
Bob has opened up about his time behind bars, revealing that his fellow prisoners were nice and cared for him.
During an interview on podcast, Curiosity Made Me Ask, he reiterated that he was not placed in the female section of the prison facility.
” I was at the male correctional centre and I loved it. If they had given me the female correctional centre I would not have fun. I would not enjoy myself” .
” While I was at the male correctional centre, I was the only different person there. So people were nice to me. They were showing me care. They were giving me stuff. If I had stayed in the female who would have shown me care, buy me food? Who would have bought me food?
He, however, disclosed that during his time in EFCC custody, he was placed in a female cell.
” But I was in the female EFCC custody. Because there were four people in the room. Like four to five guys in a room and obviously, this is a baddie with boobs, a nice shape. So, they would not eat to put me among those guys. ”
The crossdresser also revealed why he pled guilty in court.
” If I had told the judge I was not guilty, she would give me bail and I would go to my house. I told the judge I was guilty because I was the one showing on the video. I believed that when I told the judge the truth whether my lord was a man or a woman I did not care, it now depends on my lord to decide whether I would be given the option of fine, community service or anything. But my lord chose to sentence Bobrisky to prison, ” she said.
